- there are no umbrellas or shade provided in the pool area. everyone brought their own pop up tents or umbrellas
- general store on site which sold various pool toys, pre-packaged food, ice cream, drinks, wood, ice, etc.
- there was a very small arcade that I never saw anyone in, and the basketball court only had 1 hoop
- pet-friendly accommodations, including allowing dogs to swim in the back end of the lake
Clean, friendly, and accommodating. A little pricy, but a great time nonetheless.
- everyone uses golf carts to get around the campground. it costs $60 a day to rent one! I felt for the price we paid to rent for a week a golf cart should be included. we decided on our last day to rent one b/c our son loved riding on one, but they were sold out
- each site has a picnic table, a grill, and a fire pit
- 2 nice playgrounds for the kids near both lakes (one lake was for fishing only)
- the poolside snack stand closed at 6 p.m. which is ridiculous. it is summer time and 6 p.m. is dinner time. also the snack stand was very pricey
- TP, bath towels, all bedding and pillows, and paper towels were supplied for renters
- our pots and pans were broken and filthy
- water pressure in the shower was very good
- Michelle in housekeeping was extremely helpful and the bright spot of the entire staff
- the bathhouses were filthy and the closest one to the renters cabins was under construction
- cabin was advertised as "sleeps 9", yet the pull out couch mattress was unbelievably uncomfortable. I nicknamed it "spring city" b/c I could feel every single mattress spring digging into my back
My family of 3 (2 adults, 1 toddler) rented a pet-friendly cabin for a week in August. There were pros and cons to our stay. Ultimately, I would not return for another vacation here. For the price we paid to stay for a week, I would try a different campground next year.
We were in this campground for 17 year and watched the activities for both children and adults come to a complete hault. The management are a group of complete unprofessional. They are all about the money. Nothing good you say to them will ever cross the ears of the owners. They make up stories when your camper is too old just to evict you and fill your spot with new tenants or rentals witch they charge outrageous prices for. Over priced, unproffesional and down right money hungry. I wish the original owners never sold it!!!! Was so much better for the community!!!
Nice place to relax with family. Things for children to do pools lake food.
Pros
- many daily planned activities for the kids including theme weekends (it was "Halloween" while we were there)
Cons
THIS IS OUR 2ND YEAR AND THE KIDS 3RD YEAR GOING TO PINEHAVEN.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!
WE MAKE THIS A FAMILY TRADITION NOW WHICH CAN'T BE REPLACED! I HAD ONE SMALL PROBLEM THE FIRST DAY - THEY BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO MAKE EVERYTHING NICE FOR US. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL WE COME BACK NEXT WEEK. WE FISH, GO IN THE LAKE, USE THE POOLS - HAVE SMORES OVER A CAMPFIRE, GO FOR RIDES IN THE GOLF CART, TAKE LONG WALKS AND ENJOY THE GAMES IN THE GAME BUILDLING. NOT SURE WHAT MORE ONE COULD ASK FOR - THE PRICE IS EXCELLENT FOR WHAT YOU GET! I'VE COMPARED THEM.
- the mattresses on the other beds were insanely uncomfortable. they were covered in plastic which made the sheets slip off every time you moved. we actually checked out a day early b/c of how uncomfortable the beds were to sleep on
- the check in process was very strange due to not being able to ask general questions. each renter is assigned a "concierge" who is dedicated to helping answer questions or give out information. our concierge literally never answered her work cell phone to answer any questions, and her voicemail was not set up. apparently she didn't even work on Mon or Tues, but she neglected to tell me so
- distance to Sea Isle City is great (10 mins). the campground location is extremely convenient to Wawa, pizza places, ice cream, Asian food, and a liquor store. also very close to the Garden State Parkway.
- 2 large swimming pools, and a smaller kiddie pool (2ft. deep)
